Bella is a girl of seventeen, divorced parents, the new romantic relationship with her mother, her father decides to move to the small town of Forks in the northwestern U.S.
face this new stage of life with resignation, because she hates Forks from when going on vacation: it always rains, remain in constant darkness and there is nothing to do. The institute promises to be unbearable, but Bella's what you least expected: love y. .. something else.
With the stir that was formed with the films that adapted the book and its sequel, I decided not see (yet) and start with the books before. So I played with Harry Potter and his saga. The experiment in this case went well because I finished reading my seven books, though the films did not pass the second.
In my first pages with "Twilight" remained pending as he slowly described the atmosphere of almost isolated village, the way you see the life of Bella, their adaptation to school, the first friends, first suitors, the mysterious boy he likes.
So far, the argument could be modeled on a topical television movie about the life of an American teenager who changes school. Later
history is complicated by a bizarre vampire story, a colleague of mine defines as "ecological vampirism."
The plot is summed up by my brother in a "girl meets boy, boy looks bad but is good. It's good, but very special. Appears another special but this bad boy really wants the girl ...".
This simple scheme has ever run, so the only thing new are the new ideas about some unconventional features of these new vampires.
The highlight is short and I was quite disappointing, both expected to imagine something more exciting.
The style is not a wonder, the language often sounds corny and too elaborate for a girl of seventeen.
In short, history is something, because otherwise we would not have been so successful, but in my opinion very fair literary quality goes. On the positive side, the revision of the vampire myth is original, this breaks the clichés of the genre, you can not deny.
